Who is Chad Gilbert?

Paramore’s Hayley Williams, who was previously married to Chad Gilbert, announced on Thursday in an interview that she is dating her band’s guitarist Taylor York.

The couple made the confirmation during the interview with the Guardian. However, they declined to comment further about their relationship.

Hayley’s new romance comes more than five years after she announced her split from Gilbert. 

In a joint statement shared on Instagram in July 2017, the duo confirmed their breakup.

“Hopefully, you’ll understand that the personal aspects of what we are going through are not for anyone else to carry. Only us,” their statement continued. “To allow people any further into this moment in our lives would be to dishonor our history together and our ability to move forward with integrity. Thank you to fans of both of our bands and for all the kindness you’ve shown to both of us for so many years. Thanks to our families for loving us in all our seasons. Hayley and Chad.”

Who is Chad Gilbert?

Chad Gilbert is the founding member of the rock band New Found Glory. He plays lead guitar, sings backing vocals, and composes music for the band. He was also the lead vocalist for the band’s now-defunct side-project, International Superheroes of Hardcore.

Gilbert was also the vocalist for the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud between 1995 and 1998, and from 2012 to 2013.

He has produced records like H2O’s Nothing to Prove and A Day to Remember’s albums, Homesick, What Separates Me from You and Common Courtesy.

In 2010, Gilbert announced he would release solo material online, free of charge. Since then he released several demos and 7″ vinyl records under the name What’s Eating Gilbert.

Born on March 9, 1981 in Coral Springs, Florida, Gilbert attended J. P. Taravella High School, but left after the 11th-grade after New Found Glory got signed to California-based record label Drive-Thru Records.

He married Sherri DuPree of the rock band Eisley in February 2007. The duo divorced later in the year after Gilbert was accused of cheating on his wife.

He married Williams in 2016 and got divorced the following year due to infidelity on Gilbert’s part.

Gilbert married Lisa Cimorelli, member of the all-sisters singing group Cimorelli, on October 3, 2020. Their daughter was born on July 17, 2021.
