Who is Chanel Iman?

American model Chanel Iman and her husband, professional football player Sterling Shepard, have reportedly split after six years together and are “getting divorced,” US Weekly reported, quoting a source exclusively.

“They are going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other,” the sources told the outlet.

Iman and Shepard met at a party in 2016. 

Recalling their first meeting, Shepard had told Haute Living in August 2019, “When I was younger, I’d see her in the Victoria’s Secret magazines that my sisters were getting, but it didn’t really come to me. When she walked into the room one of my boys was like, ‘You know who that is?’ and I was like, ‘No.'”

“I approached her and asked her if she wanted a drink, and we were just talking for the rest of the party, and then we went to some club for the afterparty and kept talking. I got her number, and we went our own separate ways, but we stayed in contact.”

Two years later, the couple tied the knot and in August 2018, they welcomed their first child. In 2019, they announced that they were expecting baby No. 2.

Who is Chanel Iman?

The 31-year-old is an American model who is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She was born in Atlanta but grew up in Los Angeles. Iman is of Korean and African-American descent.

Her very first job was an editorial shoot for Teen magazine at the age of 13. She then got into modeling. Vogue Paris declared her as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. Iman does a lot of humanitarian work that is focused on building schools in East Africa.
