Authorities in Texas accidentally issue Amber Alert for ‘Chucky Doll’ and his son

Authorities in Texas mistakenly issued an Amber Alert for Chucky doll and his son, raising a few eyebrows. Chucky is the infamous evil possessed doll from the horror movie series ‘Child’s Play’.

On Friday, the Texas Department of Public Safety sent out a mistaken Amber Alert for 5-year-old Glen Ray and listed Chucky as the suspect. The subscribers of the Texas Alerts System received three separate emails about the same. 

In the alert, Chucky was described as a 28-year-old with red, auburn hair and blue eyes. It said that Chucky was a little more than 3-foot-tall and weighed 16 pounds. It said that the doll was last seen wearing blue denim overalls with a multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt and wielding a kitchen knife.

Glen, on the other hand, was described as a child weighing 6 pounds last seen wearing a blue shirt and black collar. 

After the alert raised a few eyebrows, the department issued a statement saying, “This alert is a result of a test malfunction. We apologize for the confusion this may have caused and are diligently working to ensure this does not happen again.”
