Delhi records 813 COVID-19 cases, biggest single-day hike this year

Delhi on Saturday recorded 813 coronavirus cases, which is the biggest spike of daily infections registered in the national capital this year. The highest daily spike of 2021 in COVID-19 cases comes for the second consecutive day after it recorded 716 cases of coronavirus on Friday, according to the state government data. 

The tally of COVID-19 cases in Delhi now stands at 647,161, while with two more deaths recorded on Saturday, the death toll from coronavirus has now reached 10,955. 

There are currently 3,409 active cases of coronavirus in the national capital, meanwhile, a total of 632,797 people have recovered from the infection as of Saturday.
