Home Minister Amit Shah tests negative for coronavirus

Home Minister Amit Shah has tested negative for coronavirus, the politician announced in a tweet on Friday. He added that he will be in home isolation for a few more days.

“Today, my Corona test report has been negative. I thank God and express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have been able to cover me and my family for my health benefits at this time. On the advice of doctors, I will be in home isolation for a few more days now,” Shah said in the tweet.

The Home Minister had tested positive for the infection on August 2 and was admitted to a Gurgaon hospital where he was undergoing a treatment, he had confirmed it in a tweet.

“After noticing initial symptoms of coronavirus, I got myself tested and my reports came back positive. I am feeling alright but on the suggestion of the doctors, I am being admitted to the hospital,” the BJP leader said.”

Shah was admitted to the Medanta hospital in Gurgaon, Haryana where a team of of doctors, led by AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria attended him.
