India records 38,310 new cases of COVID-19, 490 deaths in 24 hours
- India's death toll from COVID-19 has now reached 123,097
- There are currently 541,405 active cases of coronavirus in the country
- 58,323 people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in India
The coronavirus tally in India crossed 8,267,623 after 38,310 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Monday. 490 people died in the country due to COVID-19 related complications in the last 24 hours, taking India’s death toll to 123,097.
There are currently 541,405 active cases of coronavirus in India. 58,323 people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered cases of coronavirus to 7,603,121.
The Indian Council of Medical Research on Tuesday said that 1,046,247 for COVID-19 were tested in the country on Monday and a total of 111,789,350 samples have been tested in India up to November 2.
India first reported the case of coronavirus on January 31 and since then, it has emerged as the second worst-hit country worldwide, followed by the United States.
