Manchester United and France striker Anthony Martial is on the verge of completing a loan switch to Sevilla, reliable football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed on Twitter.
Romano had earlier said that Martial had departed Manchester via a flight to complete his loan move to Sevilla. While the paperwork has not yet been signed, it is understood that the deal will be completed in the coming hours.

Being a loan deal, there is no transfer fee involved, and if reports are to be believed, United have not offered Sevilla any option to buy Martial at the end of the season.
The move comes amid reports of discontent at Manchester United, who leapfrogged West Ham to reach the top four in the Premier League in the weekend.
Prior to United’s match against West Ham, controversy had broken out after manager Ralf Rangnick claimed that Martial had voluntarily dropped out of the squad for the match against Aston Villa, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Following Rangnick’s comments, Martial hit back at his manager via an Instagram post wherein he claimed he would never refuse to play a match for the Red Devils.
Although the controversy was downplayed by Rangnick who claimed that he had had a conversation with Martial to clear misunderstandings, it appears that rumours about Martial’s unhappiness at United are true.

Following a terrible start to the season and the sacking of former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, interim manager Ralf Rangnick has struggled to string together a series of convincing performances. Consequently, reports have claimed that several are unhappy within the United camp.
With Martial already on his way out, others could be too, with reports suggesting that Paul Pogba might be looking to secure a move away from United in the summer.
