Union Minister Ramdas Athawale tested positive for coronavirus, reported ANI. He has been admitted to Bombay Hospital as a precautionary measure, confirmed his office. Athwale complained of cough and body pain following which, he got himself tested for the infection.
During the outbreak of the pandemic, Athwale coined a slogan, ‘Go Corona, Go’, which went viral on the internet.
On Monday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Breach Candy hospital in South Mumbai.
Home Minister Amit Shah, Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are among other Union ministers to have contracted the infection.
