2 jawans killed in firing by Pakistan troops in J&K’s Rajouri district

Two Indian Army jawans were killed as Pakistan troops violated ceasefire at the Sunderbani Sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, PTI reported quoting defence officials.
The Indian Army immediately responded to the unprovoked firing and shelling from Pakistan, the official added.

“The Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of district Rajouri today (Friday),” the spokesperson said.
The two jawans, Naik Prem Bahadur Khatri and Rifleman Sukhbir Singh, sustained injuries during the firing, and later died.
The nation will always remain indebted to their sacrifice and devotion to duty, he said.
This comes after another jawan, Subedar Swatantra Singh, was killed on Thursday while a civilian was injured in Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni and Qasba sectors of the Poonch district.
Earlier this month, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy cross-border firing and shelling along the LoC in Gurez and Uri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, killing five army personnel and six civilians.
