Akshay Kumar shines as saree-clad ghost in ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ trailer

The trailer of the much-awaited film ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ dropped on Youtube on Friday, in which Akshay Kumar plays the role of a transgender. The film also stars actor Kiara Advani in a pivotal role, who plays Kumar’s wife in the movie. The movie also stars Lubna Salim and Rajesh Sharma.
The trailer looks promising as it depicts the movie would be a perfect blend of comedy, horror, suspense as Kumar challenges himself in a new character in Laxmmi Bomb.
In the trailer, Kumar character changes from a straight man to a transgender, with people at the start saying, ‘There is a ghost.’
The character of Kumar declares, “Jis din sach mein mere samne bhut aayy na toh maa kasam chudiya pehen lunga [I will wear bangles the day I witness a ghost]”.

Apparently, it seems like Kumar gets possessed by a transgender ghost that leads to a major character change.

Sharing the trailer, the 53-year-old actor on Twitter wrote, “Jahan kahi bhi hain, wahi ruk jaayyein aur taiyyaar ho jaayyein dekhne Laxmmi Bomb ka trailer, kyunki barasne aa rahi hai Laxmmi!”[Stop wherever you are, and get ready to watch the trailer of Laxmmi Bomb, as Laxmmi is coming to rain.]
Directed by Raghava Lawrence, the movie is a remake of the Kanchana, a 2011 Tamil film. Lawrence had also directed the original movie.
The film will release on Disney Plus Hotstar on November 9. It was earlier for a May 22 release but got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
