Ambedkar Jayanti is observed on April 14 to commemorate Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar‘s birth anniversary. He was a jurist, economist, and Dalit leader who chaired the committee that drafted India’s Constitution and served as the country’s first Law Minister after independence. 

Dr Ambedkar earned legal degrees and doctorates for his studies in law, economics, and political science, establishing himself as a scholar and advocating for Dalit political and social freedom.
