Anand Mahindra has ‘ ideas cooking’ for gold medallist Neeraj Chopra’s gift

Industrialist and the chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra has asked his executives to ready a gift for India’s Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra. The 23-year-old aced the men’s javelin event and won the country’s first Olympic medal in athletics.
Anand Mahindra first took to Twitter to describe Chopra as ‘Baahubali’. After the javelin thrower’s win, he tweeted, “We’re all in your army, Baahubali.” He placed the Olympian’s picture in a grid next to that of the fantasy action film character.

As soon as Mahindra’s tweet was out, a Twitter user, Ritesh Jain, replied, asking the industrialist to present an XUV700 to Chopra. The car is Mahindra’s upcoming model in its SUV line.
Replying to Jain’s tweet, the Mahindra boss tagged two executives of his company and asked them to keep an XUV700 ready for Chopra.
“Yes, indeed. It will be my personal privilege and honour to gift our Golden Athlete an XUV7OO @rajesh664 @vijaynakra Keep one ready for him please,” Mahindra tweeted.

“Why one for him, would say the first one for him,” another Twitter user said.
Acknowledging the so many suggestions Twitter users posted, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer Pratap Bose tweeted, “So many awesome suggestions coming in for the Special Edition of the #NeerajGoldChopra @MahindraXUV700 ! We have some ideas cooking at the @MahindraRise Design studios! Will share more soon!” He tagged a few executives and Anand Mahindra.
“Thank you guys, for moving as quickly on this as a javelin,” Anand Mahindra said, highlighting Bose’s tweet.

Neeraj Chopra, on Saturday, managed to land the javelin at 87.58m to become the second Indian to win individual gold at the Olympics.
