Aryan Khan’s qaidi no. 956 reminds many of iconic SRK scene in Veer Zaara
- Aryan Khan was shifted from Arthur Jail's quarantine barrack to a common cell on Thursday
- He is reportedly lodged as 'Qaidi number N956'
- Aryan has to reportedly wake up at 6 am every morning
Shah Rukh’s poignant ‘qaidi number 786’ poetry rendition in Veer Zaara was on people’s minds after his son Aryan Khan was lodged as prisoner no. 956 in Arthur Road jail.
Aryan was shifted from Arthur Jail’s quarantine barrack to a common cell along with five other men on Thursday after they tested negative for COVID-19. The 23-year-old is reportedly eating regular jail food and received a money order of Rs 4,500 from his family. This amount will reportedly be used for his canteen expenses, India Today reported.
Aryan has to reportedly wake up at 6 am every morning. Breakfast is provided to the inmates at 7 am and lunch at 11 am. Dinner is given at 6 pm, after which the barracks are closed, the outlet reported.

The inmates are reportedly permitted to roam around in the open area located in the middle of the jail every afternoon.
For those unversed, Aryan was taken into custody on October 3 in an alleged drug case after the Narcotics Control Bureau raided a Goa-bound cruise ship and allegedly found banned drugs.

On October 7, his bail plea was rejected and he was placed on a 14-day judicial custody following which he was sent to Arthur Jail.
NCB has been opposing his bail alleging that Aryan sourced drugs and was in touch with “some persons abroad who appear to be a part of an International Drug Network for illicit procurement of drugs.”
The complaint was later filed in a special court which is hearing the bail plea of the 23-year-old in a matter related to the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The initial hearing took place on Wednesday during which NCB opposed the bail plea stating that releasing him could interfere with the investigation. On Thursday, judge rejected his bail and said that he will try to pronounce orders on the bail application on October 20.
