Bihar’s Belsand constituency elects RJD’s Sanjay Kumar Gupta in 2020

The Belsand Assembly constituency has been bagged by The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). In one of the first results announced for elections 2020, the Election Commission declared that RJD’s Sanjay Kumar Gupta had won by a margin of 13685 votes. In the 2015 Bihar Assembly elections, Sunita Singh Chauhan of JDU won in this seat by defeating Md Nasir Ahamad of LJP by a margin of 5,575 votes votes. In the 2020 Bihar state Assembly elections, the voter turnout here was 52.38%. In 2015, this seat registered a turnout of 52.04% while it was 49.58% in 2010.
