Bharat Bandh Highlights: No meeting between farmers and government tomorrow, says Farmer leader

Following the Bharat Bandh conducted on Tuesday, Hannan Mollah, General Secretary, All India Kisan Sabha said that the Government is not ready to take back the farm laws, as per ANI.
Mollah added, “No meeting will be held between farmers & govt tomorrow. The minister has said that a proposal will be given to the farmer leaders tomorrow.” He further said, “Farmer leaders will hold a meeting over govt’s proposal.” Earlier the farmers’ protest on the recently implemented farm bills by the Centre entered the 13th day on Tuesday. The farmers have called for a 24 hour Bharat Bandh on Tuesday.
The farmers’ protest that began on November 26, and farmers from across India have gathered at the Singhu (Delhi-Haryana) border, the Tikri border and other areas across Delhi against the bills which they say is “anti-farmers’ and will favour the corporates.
Several opposition parties across the country have also expressed their support to the bandh.
The farmers are protesting the three farm acts, namely the Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020, that were enacted in September.
Despite protests from farmers, the Centre has remained steadfast in its belief that the farm laws will be beneficial for the farmers, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the passing of the bills marked a watershed moment in the history of the country.
