Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao head to Dehradun to begin shooting for ‘Badhaai Do’

Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao will be seen next in the upcoming film ‘Badhaai Do’, a sequel to the National Award-winning hit ‘Badhaai Ho’, the shooting for which began on Tuesday, reported PTI.
Pednekar shared an image on her Instagram story from the first day of the shoot in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
“Poori team ko #BadhaaiDo (Congratulate the entire team). To new beginnings!” the 31-year-old actor wrote. Rao shared the same post on his Instagram story.
Directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, ‘Badhaai Do’ is written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, who had co-written ‘Badhaai Ho’.
The upcoming film marks the first collaboration between Rao and Bhumi, who reportedly play a cop and a PT teacher, respectively.
The plot of the original movie revolved around a middle-aged couple, played by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, facing an unexpected pregnancy.
The 2018 flick, which was also a comedy-drama, featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles. It was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
The movie won two best popular film awards for providing wholesome entertainment and best supporting actress for Sikri for her role as the cantankerous matriarch who has a change of heart.
