The Ujiarpur assembly constituency once again elected Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Alok Kumar Mehta in 2020 elections. In 2015, he had defeated Kumar Anant of Rashtriya
Lok Samta Party (BLSP) in 2015. The seat, one of Bihar’s 243 assembly
constituencies, is part of 22. Ujiarpur (SC) (Lok Sabha Constituency).

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly
constituencies Order, 2008, No. 134 Ujiarpur (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is
composed of the following: Ujiarpur community development block; Sultanpur
Ghataho, Chakbahauddin, Mokhtiyarpur Salkhani, Panr, Harishankarpur, Kewanta,
Nagargama, Pagra, Nawada, Basariya gram panchayats and Dalsinghsarai notified
area of Dalsinghsarai CD Block.
