12-year-old boy held over minor’s murder in Chandigarh’s Hallo Majra
- Minor had gone missing and her parents had filed a missing report on Friday

Chandigarh Police on Saturday evening detained a 12-year-old boy over the murder of a six-year-old girl, whose body was found in a semi-nude condition in a forest near Hallo Majra in Chandigarh, Punjab, reported The Tribune. The police also suspect rape, although there is no confirmation on that.
The development came hours after the girl’s body was found on Saturday.

According to the police, the minor was stoned to death, The Times of India reported.
The girl, eldest of among the three siblings, had gone missing after which her parents had filed a missing report on Friday.

The family lived in a rented accommodation in the city and the girl was a nursery class student.
