Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi seeks CBI probe in Vikas Dubey’s case

Raising questions over the protection that was extended to gangster Vikas Dubey, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi demanded a CBI probe into the case. She also claimed that the Uttar Pradesh government has completely failed in their investigation in the grave crime committed in Kanpur.

She further added, “In spite of the heightened security, Dubey reached Ujjain. This not only exposes the claims on the security, but also hints at “conspiracy”

Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey, was arrested on Thursday morning from a temple in Madhya Pradesh following a five-day chase. He is accused of killing eight policemen during an encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on July 3. The policemen had gone to arrest the gangster. 

Even Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions over Vikas Dubey’s arrest, questioning if it was an arrest or he surrendered. Yadav has also sought the call details of Dubey’s phone.
