An email threatening Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was sent to the Central Reserve Police Force, said Kuldiep Singh, DGP, CRPF on Tuesday, adding that the concerned agencies are handling the matter.

“We have forwarded the email to the concerned agencies of Maharashtra and the Centre. They are working on it and we will work as per their instructions,” Kuldiep Singh, CRPF DGP, told ANI.

The mail, according to Zee News report, was a death threat to both the BJP leaders and mentioned “11 suicide bombers” to “eliminate” the ministers.

Amit Shah is currently electioneering amid the assembly elections that are being held in five states and one union territory. Yogi Adityanath on Monday took his first jab against COVID-19 in Lucknow.

In January, the emergency service of UP Police ‘Dial 112’ received a call threatening to kill Adityanath within 24 hours by using an AK-47 rifle.
