In a major sign of relief to Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday reportedly said that it will not seek further custody of his son Aryan Khan in connection with the Cordelia cruise drugs case, India Today reported.

On Sunday, Aryan Khan was sent to the NCB’s custody for a day by a Mumbai court. According to India Today, the moment Aryan Khan will be sent to judicial custody on Monday, his lawyers would apply for his bail.

Along with Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant and another accused, Munmun Dhamecha, were arrested on Saturday by the NCB officials for their alleged involvement in a drugs case.

Aryan Khan was placed under arrest on Sunday at 2 pm, for involvement in consumption, selling and purchasing of contraband.

“All three accused will be produced again before the court tomorrow (Monday) for their judicial custody. Remaining 5 accused, namely Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar, were arrested later today (Sunday),” said the NCB in a statement.

The central agency has reportedly seized drugs such as cocaine, LSD, hashish and MD from those present on board the ship.

NCB has registered an FIR in connection with the drugs party, news agency PTI quoted an official as saying.

Based on a tip-off, an NCB team, led by its zonal director Sameer Wankhede, had raided the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise ship on Saturday evening and recovered drugs from some of the passengers, the official said.
