Delhi Metro issues new guidelines for 6-day lockdown. Check details
- Metro services during peak hours, from 8-10 am and from 5-7 pm, will be available with a headway of 30 minutes
- During the rest of the day, the trains will run at a frequency of 60 minutes
- Services can only be availed by those exempted from the restrictions upon production of valid ID cards
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday announced fresh guidelines in light of the six-day lockdown imposed in the city by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led government.
According to the new guidelines, Metro services during peak hours, from 8 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm, will be available with a headway of 30 minutes, ANI reported. During the rest of the day, the trains will run at a frequency of 60 minutes.

The services can only be availed by those exempted from the restrictions upon production of valid ID cards.
Earlier today, Kejriwal announced a six-day lockdown in the national capital, which will be in effect from 10 pm on Monday till 5 am next Monday, April 26, amid an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases.

On Sunday, Delhi recorded its highesr-ever single-day rise in COVID-19 cases with a record 25,462 fresh infections. 161 deaths were also recorded in the same period, while the positivity rate has shot up to 29.74%.
