Farmers’ protest Day-67 highlights : BKU chief Naresh Tikait calls farm laws fire, urges immediate repeal

The farmers’ protest against the farm laws entered day 67 today. The Haryana Government extended the suspension of mobile internet services in 14 districts till 5 pm on February 1 in order to ensure that law and order prevails. Districts of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, Sonipat and Jhajjar will be affected. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory reached Delhi’s ITO to collect forensic evidence in relation with the farmers’ tractor parade taking a violent turn on Republic Day, leaving one farmer dead and several security personnel injured. Two freelance journalists were arrested from Singhu border for allegedly misbehaving with police personnel on duty at the farmers’ protest site.
