Fire breaks out at cardiology department of Kanpur’s LPS Institute Of Cardiology
- No casualties were reported
- UP CM Yogi Adityanath directed that the evacuated patients be provided immediate care

A fire broke out at the cardiology department of LPS Institute Of Cardiology in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Sunday, reported ANI UP. No casualties were reported in the incident that took place in a state-run hospital.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incident, reported PTI. He directed that the evacuated patients be provided immediate care. The CM also sought a report from the district administration.
According to a statement issued by the state government, the CM had directed a high-level team to visit the site. The team consisted of the principal secretary, health education and the director-general of the fire department.

The investigation team shall also include the divisional commissioner of Kanpur, the statement issued by the government read.
