Flights between India and UK to resume from January 8: Civil Aviation Minister
- Flight operations between India and the UK were suspended
- Aviation Ministry said the flight operations will resume in the second week on January
- Operations till January 23 will be restricted to 15 flights per week, the ministry further said
Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, on Friday, said that the flight operation to and from the United Kingdom, which was suspended due to the outbreak of the new strain of coronavirus, will resume from January 8, 2021.
“It has been decided that flights between India & UK will resume from January 8, 2021. Operations till 23 Jan will be restricted to 15 flights per week each for carriers of two countries to and from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad only,” news agency ANI quoted Puri as saying.
With this, Puri also said that only 30 flights per week will operate between India and UK when services resume, adding that this arrangement will continue till January 23.
