%u201CWe have made a group of two, one for resources and one for people making SOS calls. It started with a re-tweets but now we have volunteers who are coming and asking that let us know if you want us to verify leads. There are people on the ground who are in touch with doctors and they reach out to me to share details.  It%u2019s a network with 10-15 people,%u201D he told Opoyi on a phone call.

%u201CIn fact college kids are reaching out to me and they are verifying facts and sending updates so it is helping,%u201D he added.

Mohit says that this is the time for the influencers to come forward and use their platform to help out many people without thinking about any advantage or money.

%u201CInfluencer culture in India is big and people admire you for your work. Even if you have 10 k followers, imagine that you are helping those followers too.  It might be mentally exhausting for some but you have the option of taking a break and come back.  So, come out and support especially in times like now,” says Mohit.

“Every influencer has a certain theme for their page but please let that go for a toss.  Try to give as much help as possible because we are in a situation of national emergency and people need all the help right now,%u201D he said.

For him, social media is also playing a crucial role now.

%u201CI think it is one of most helpful mediums right now. It has brought people in different cities under one umbrella,%u201D he sums up.
