GoAir announces ‘Freedom Sale’, offers 1 million tickets starting Rs 859

In a bid to make travel more affordable, Indian airline GoAir has announced a Republic Day “Freedom Sale” on domestic travels and has put up to one million seats on sale. 

The sale has started from January 22 and will go on till the 29th of this month, under which a customer can book tickets from April 1 to December 31, 2021.

The airline said that the sale is valid for one-way fares, adding that seats are subject to availability at the time of booking and also on a first-come-first-serve basis.

In a statement, GoAir said, “Starting at an all-inclusive lowest fare of INR 859, the eight-day freedom sale is effective from January 22 to January 29, 2021, and will be valid on one-way fares for travel from April 1 until December 31, 2021 on airline’s domestic network.”

“Passengers planning to book tickets for domestic travel can avail substantial savings on prevailing all-inclusive lowest fares,” the airline said.

GoAir added that the tickets booked under that period will attract “zero change fees within 14 days of departure” that is applicable only for the “promo fare seats, which are subject to availability.”

“With this Republic Day freedom sale, passengers can make considerable savings when planning their trips, travel to exotic destinations. We are confident that the promotion will be popular with our passengers in India,” GoAir chief executive officer Kaushik Khona said, reported The Times of India.
