Gold, silver and other metal prices on February 25, 2022
- Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,960.00 per 10 gm, down 583 points or 1.13%
- Silver futures were trading at Rs 65,601.00 per kg, down 1,297 points or 1.94%
- Platinum was trading at $1,065.50 while palladium was trading at $2,469.00
Gold prices increased in international markets on February 25, levelling out following a tumultuous session, as investors reviewed the circumstances surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and new Western sanctions imposed on Moscow.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, gold prices rose on Thursday to re-create history around the $1,970 mark. Later in the day, seeing no military force reaction from the US and its allies, investors dumped the metal, causing it to plummet about $100 from its peak.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Friday, February 25, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,960.00 per 10 gm, down 583 points or 1.13%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 65,601.00 per kg, down 1,297 points or 1.94%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,916.35 per oz. Platinum was trading at $1,065.50 while palladium was trading at $2,469.00.
In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 51,280 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 68,149 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Gold rates today at Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai surged. The gold rates in Delhi for 10 grams of 22-carat have remained at Rs. 47,260 with a hike of Rs. 1000 and that of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is at Rs. 50,560 with a hike of Rs. 1380. The gold rates in Chennai per 10 gram of 22 carats is at Rs 49,570 with a hike of Rs. 2170 and the gold rate of 24-carat is at Rs. 54,020 with a hike of Rs. 2360.

The gold rate in Kolkata per 10 grams of 22 carats is at Rs. 47,260 and the rate of 10 grams of 24 carats is at Rs. 51,560. The gold rates in Mumbai per 10 grams of 22 carats have been at Rs. 47,260 with a hike of Rs. 1260 and Rs. 51,560 per 10 grams of 24 carats with a hike of Rs. 1380. The silver rates have been at Rs. 66,100 in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai and the rate of silver in Chennai is at Rs. 66,100.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 767.15 down 0.11% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1,847.00 and Rs 269.40 per Kg respectively on MCX.
