Naseeruddin Shah turns 72 today. He is an Indian actor and director who has also starred in various international productions. Shah has been conferred with various prestigious awards like the Padma Bhushan and the Padma Shri to go with three National and three Filmfare awards.
Shah started his acting career in 1976 with a small role in a film titled “Aman” and since then he has been a part of more than 100 feature films.

Naseeruddin Shah has also acted in several international films like Monsoon Wedding in 2001 and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 2003 where he plays Captain Nemo. He was also highly appreciated for his role in Maqbool, an Indian adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
