Eid al-Adha will be celebrated across India on July 21 this year. Also known as Bakrid or the ‘festival of sacrifice’, the Islamic religious festival is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. Here’s how the celebrations began in India amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
