Kohli was not a part of India’s playing 11 for the first ODI, of the three-match series, against England due to a groin niggle. News agency ANI reported that the former skipper is likely to miss the second ODI too.
With Kohli struggling for runs, India have gone for Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda as No 3 and No 4 in T20Is. However, captain Rohit Sharma said that the team management is backing the 33-year-old, which means he would still be a top contender for a spot.
