Pant missed a short ball from Pat Cummins and was instead hit on the elbow. He was visibly in pain and was attended to by the physio.

He, however, continued to bat, but had lost his flow following the injury.

He got out at 36 off 67 balls.

India got all out at 244, while Australia had scored 338.

In Australia’s second inning, Wriddhiman Saha came out to keep wickets, instead of Pant.

India versus Australia third Test is being played in Sydney.
