Rahul Chahar (4/27) and Trent Boult (2/27) led Mumbai Indians’ fightback as the defending champions registered their first win of the 2021 season.

The move played well, as with spinners bowling from both the sides, KKR were able to dismiss Quinton De Kock in the second over. Even after a 33-ball fifty from Suryakumar Yadav and a 43-run knock from Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians were reduced to 125/5 after the 17th over. Ishan Kishan (1) couldn’t cause much damage, Pandya, Pollard and Jenson also departed for cheap.
For Kolkata, Andre Russell top-performed with five wickets against his name. Pat Cummins (2/24) and Shakib Al Hasan (23/1) bowled crucial overs to choke Mumbai.
