In a powerful performance, SunRisers Hyderabad pacers left the star-studded Royal Challengers Bangalore batting attack in tatter in Saturday’s second game at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Marco Jansen and T Natarajan picked up three wickets each as RCB were bowled out for 68 in 16.1 overs. It is their second-lowest score in IPL T20. In IPL 2017, Kolkata Knight Riders bundled out RCB for 49 runs which is the lowest score in the history of the Indian T20 league.

On a green pitch, Jansen castled RCB captain Faf du Plessis in the second ball of the second over. He made it two in two in the third ball. This time he got the prized scalp of Virat Kohli for a golden duck. Anuj Rawat was the second man to depart. With this Jansen scalped three wickets in an over.

Glenn Maxwell (12) and Suyash Prabhudessai (17) provided some resistance but Natarajan and Jagadeesha Suchith sent them packing to the pavilion in the fifth and ninth over, respectively.

RCB were reduced to 47 for 5 in 8.2 overs.

Dinesh Karthik, who played some sensational knocks this season, fell for a duck in the ninth over when he tried to play a sweep shot but hit the wicketkeeper Pooran’s thigh instead who was certain that there was bat/glove involved and SRH have successfully reviewed it.

Shahbaz Ahmed was the next man to follow in the footsteps of his teammates when Umran Malik dished out a 146 kph delivery to get a leading edge which landed in the safe hands of Nicholas Pooran.

RCB’s third-lowest score is 70 which they scored twice against Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Their fourth-lowest is 82 against KKR.
