From September 24 to 28, Ladakh will host the inaugural edition of The Himalayan Film Festival 2021 (THFF) in Leh, the capital city, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to honour India’s 75th anniversary of independence.

The five-day event also seeks to provide an interaction and exposure platform for budding local filmmakers, as well as to promote Ladakh as a desirable film location. The festival, which will be held at the Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra in Leh, is being organised by Leh in conjunction with the Directorate of Film Festivals under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
