Mamata Banerjee leads a massive roadshow on wheelchair in Nandigram

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee led a massive roadshow in Nandigram, where she is up against BJP’s Suvendhu Adhikari. Leading an eight-km foot march on wheelchair, the TMC supremo later held a public meeting in Nandigram, which goes to poll in the second phase of assembly elections on April 1, on the occasion of Holi.
Greeting people with folded hands, Mamata led the roadshow from Reyapara Khudiram More to Thakurchowk in her wheelchair. Hundreds of local people and party activists accompanied her, shouting the slogan of ‘Mamata Banerjee Zindabad!’

The TMC supremo was injured earlier in March when she went to file her nomination from Nandigram. She had alleged that she was pushed by four to five men, who allegedly closed the car gate on her.
Addressing a public rally in the city after the roadshow, the CM took a dig at the Adhikari family, who were earlier in TMC but have not joined BJP. She said, “Too much greed is not good, they (Adhikaris) will be ‘na ghar ka ghat ka’ (of nowhere).”

Mamata has said that she will stay in the constituency till the end of voting the in seat on Thursday.
Campaigning for the second phase will end at 5 pm on April 30.
BJP sources said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also likely to take part in a roadshow in Nandigram on Tuesday.
