MS Dhoni enjoys ‘chai-date’ with his parrot ‘Honey’

Photographs of MS Dhoni, former Indian cricket team captain, surfaced on Instagram, where he is seen enjoying time with his pet macaw. During a recent chai date – he had some unusual company. Dhoni was filmed while sipping a cup of tea and enjoying moments with his pet.

Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh took to Instagram to share his photographs with “Honey” -blue-and-yellow macaw. In the two pictures that were shared, the cricketer was seen wearing a blue T-shirt with his pet bird sitting on his shoulder.

Captain Cool as usual looked calm with his pet macaw resting on his shoulder. The vivid colours of the unique macaw add vibrance to the photographs.

“‘Mahi’ and his ‘Honey’,” wrote Sakshi Dhoni in the caption. She also added the hashtag #chaidates.

The post has received over 13 lakh likes since being posted on Instagram. The photographs have captured the hearts of Captain Cool’s fans and they thanked Sakshi for sharing them. A user wrote, “Finally a pic of MS” while another user wrote “Awesome looking.”

MS Dhoni’s love for animals is well known. Besides Honey the macaw, their sprawling Ranchi farmhouse is also home to four dogs named Sam, Lilly, Zoya, and Gabbar, a horse named Chetak, and a pony.

In June, Sakshi posted a video in which Dhoni can be seen playing with his Shetland pony.

In another video she posted in May, Dhoni was massaging his Marwari horse. The video received over 6.3 lakh likes.

MS Dhoni recently led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to win their fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final. After the IPL 2021 final, he joined the Team India camp as a mentor for the T20 World Cup. Dhoni announced retirement from all forms of international cricket in August 2020. He is regarded as one of the best wicketkeepers-batsmen and greatest finishers in cricket history.
