Mumbai records over 9,000 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, highest spike ever

Mumbai on Saturday recorded 9,090 fresh cases of coronavirus. This is the highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases in 24 hours since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 tally of Mumbai now stands at 441,282.
There are currently 62,187 active cases of coronavirus in Mumbai, while the death toll from COVID-19 climbed to 11,751 after 27 people died on Saturday.
A total of 366,365 people have recovered from the infection in Mumbai after addition of 5,322 on Saturday.
