Paise aur: Sehwags cheeky response to Virat Kohlis dismissal vs England in 2nd T20I
- Kohli scored only one run in the match before being caught out by Dawid Malan
- Sehwag has been one of Kohli's critics in the recent past
- Sehwag has come under fire for his remarks over players by fans on Twitter many times
Indian cricket team ace Virat Kohli’s struggles to score runs continued in the Men in Blue’s second T20I match against England at Edgbaston on Saturday, as he was caught out by Dawid Malan after scoring only one run.
While it comes as yet another shock to Kohli’s fans, Indian legend Virender Sehwag took the opportunity to share some humour on live television. “paise aur gaind dekh ke urranay chahyain,” the 43-year-old said jokingly while commentating in the game.

Sehwag is not known to hold back his words, as he has previously been under fire for passing derogatory remarks to many players on live television. His comments on Rohit Sharma and most recently, Virat Kohli, during India’s Test matches against England drew fire from the fans, some of whom called him out on Twitter and demanded his sacking.
Sehwag has not been Kohli’s biggest fan in the recent times, as was evident from his comments during Sony’s pre-match show Extra Innings in June.
“Do you remember when was the last time, Kohli scored a century? Even I don’t remember. He would definitely want that he scores big in this Edgbaston Test which is the series decider,” Sehwag said.
Kohli has been under fire for underperforming for quite some time now, and if the latest news coming out of BCCI is to be believed, he is set to be monitored for form and might be dispensable for selections going into the future.

The 33-year-old was not part of the Indian squad against England in the first T20I on July 7, which the Men in Blue won comfortably. However, he was named on the team sheet in the second match at Edgbaston on Saturday, and was caught out looking to hit a big shot after facing three balls and scoring a single run.
Kohli has been facing the sharp end of criticisms for some time now, many of which suggest that the Indian maverick needs to take some time off from the game completely and return thereafter.
