Priyanka Chopra reaches out to Joe Biden to help India with COVID vaccines

The Bollywood diva and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to Twitter to appeal to Joe Biden, the President of United States, to urgently send vaccines to India so that the country can fight the second wave of COVID-19.

She wrote, “My heart breaks. India is suffering from COVID-19 & the US has ordered 550M more vaccines that needed @POTUS @WHCOS @SecBlinken @JakeSullivan46 Thx for sharing AstraZeneca worldwide, but the situation in my country is critical. Will you urgently share vaccines w/India? #vaxlive”.

As soon as Priyanka tweeted, many twitter users trolled her saying she is too late for this tweet but many other users lauded her move.

Recently, the Bollywood diva also appealed to everyone in India to stay home and wear a mask if they have to step out at all. She also highlighted the fact that the medical fraternity was under extreme stress and is at the breaking point, so get the vaccine when the turn comes.

As per the data from the health department, India recorded over 3 lakh COVID-19 cases on April 26.
