Former Trinamool Congress leaders Rajib Banerjee, Baishali Dalmiya, Prabir Ghoshal and Rathin Chakraborti have reached Delhi where they may join the BJP. The leaders were accompanied by BJP’s Mukul Roy, and Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Rajib Banerjee had earlier said that he had a word with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and may join BJP if he is given assurance regarding West Bengal’s development.

“After I resigned from the TMC, I received a call from the BJP leadership…..Amit Shah ji told me to come over to Delhi. If I get assurances regarding the state’s development, I will join the party,” Banerjee told a Bengali news channel.
