The Saiyadraja assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh (UP) saw Vimala Devi Bind of the Indian National Congress (INC) take on Sushil Singh of the BJP, Amit Kumar Yadav Urf Lala of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Manoj Kumar of the Samajwadi Party (SP), and Suresh Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Sushil Singh of the BJP had won the seat in 2017 Assembly elections, defeating runner-up Shyam Narayan Singh of the BSP by a margin of 14,494 votes.
In the 2012 Assembly election, independent candidate Manoj Kumar had won the seat by defeating the PMSP’s Brijesh Singh Urf Arun Kumar Singh by a margin of 2,016 votes.

The Saiyadraja assembly constituency falls under the Chandauli district in UP and is one of the five assembly constituencies under the Chandauli Lok Sabha constituency.
The Saiyadraja assembly constituency voted in the seventh phase of the UP Assembly elections in 2022 on March 7, when 54 assembly seats, spread across 9 districts, went to the polls. UP is voting in seven phases, and the last phase was held on March 7.
Results will be declared on March 10, along with results of elections being held in other states and Union Territories (UTs).
