Sir Jadeja lights up Wankhede, scores 37 runs in an over

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja lit up the Wankhede Stadium by scoring 37 runs in just an over. He scored 37 runs off six balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 19 of IPL 2021 on Sunday. It came in the 20th over of the CSK innings, which was bowled by Harshal Patel.

Jadeja hit five sixes, one four, and a double, of which one of them was a no-ball. CSK were staring at a score of 160s to 170s. But with Jadeja’s monumental batting effort in the last over, they put up a total of 191. And RCB have a task in hand to chase a challenging target of 192 and keep their unbeaten target alive.

This is how the 37-run over went: 6, 6, 7 no-balls, 6, 2, 6, 4. Jadeja ended as the top-scorer with 62 runs off 28 balls.

RCB are the only side in IPL 2021 to remain unbeaten after four matches. In their fifth, they faced off against the second-placed side in the table, CSK, who have won three of their first four matches.
