In a bizarre case of burglary, a government officer in Madhya Pradesh received a note from a burglar, who robbed his house and left with not as much as they expected. The thief robbed the house of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Trilochan Singh Gaur. His residence is located in Dewas in Madhya Pradesh.
The note left by the burglar has left social media users in splits. It reads “Jab paise nahi they toh lock nahi karna tha collector (when there was no money, it should not have been locked, collector).”
The police have launched a formal investigation in this matter and registered an FIR against unidentified persons.

According to the report by PTI, the police said that the SDM was not at home for the past 15 days. Upon his arrival on Saturday, he found his belongings scattered across the house and jewellery and cash missing, after which he filed a police complaint.
Kotwali police station in-charge Umrao Singh said ₹30,000 cash and some jewellery items were stolen from Gaur’s house, PTI reported. His house is smacked in the area where top district police officials reside.
“According to the police, the thief apparently used the government officer’s notepad and pen to write the note,” PTI reported.
This is not the first time such a hilarious case has happened in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, a thief spent an entire night breaking into a Shajapur house, only to leave empty-handed. However, before leaving he expressed his frustration in a letter addressed to the owner of the house who was again a district police official. The letter read, “Bahut Kanjoos Hai Re Tu, Khidki Todne Ki Mehnat Ka Phal Bhi Nahi Mila, Raat Kharab Ho Gayi (You are a miser, I did not even get a reward for breaking in through the window, my night turned out to be bad).”
