Twitter turns Delhi night curfew into a meme fest

The Delhi government on Tuesday announced that a night curfew would be imposed in the national capital till April 30 in view of dramatically rising COVID-19 cases. The move, to curb the spread of the virus, gave Twitterati an opportunity to display their meme-making talent once again. Ever since the announcement was made, the micro-blogging site was flooded with hilarious memes and jokes on the night curfew and its possible outcomes.

Seems like netizens are convinced that a night curfew can end the long-standing rivalry between the Delhites and Mumbaikars.

Some social media users on the other have already predicted that night curfew would have no impact in containing the virus.

Apart from this, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on the same day made an announcement that no one except for essential category passengers will be allowed to commute in the metro during the curfew hours, i.e, 10 pm to 5 am.

The National capital recorded 500 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Monday and 15 people lost their lives due to it. In a recent tally, the city noted over 14,000 active cases, according to the Delhi Health Department.
