Uttarakhand disaster: ‘Saathi heart badhana saathi re’, ITBP tweets caricature featuring jawans

The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), which is currently carrying out the rescue operation in Uttarakhand after Sunday mishap, tweeted a caricature by Amul from their handle on Wednesday. The caricature is a tribute to jawans, who are working day and night to find missing people. Their caption of the picture read, “Saathi heart badhana saathi re !

At least 200 people are still missing since an avalanche wreaked havoc in Joshimath of Chamoli district.

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “450 jawans of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, five teams of National Disaster Response Force, eight teams of Indian Army, a Navy team and five IAF helicopters are engaged in search and rescue operation.”

Netizens are applauding this move by Amul. One user said, “Amul never fails to know the pulse of India.” Another tweeted “Amul does it again.”
