A huge crowd was seen on Friday at Nagpur’s Sitabuldi market as the area was packed with shoppers, reported news agency ANI. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Friday recorded 1,729 new COVID-19 cases, while the district saw 2,549 fresh cases.

Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, a complete lockdown will be put in place in Nagpur City Police Commissionerate area from March 15. It will be lifted on March 21.
Maharashtra on Friday recorded this year’s highest one-day spike in new infection cases, as the state recorded 15,817 new infections, bringing the total tally to reach 2,282,191.
With 56 deaths, the state’s death toll reached 52,723.
