A day after Jonny Bairstow and Virat Kohli shared a light moment during an intense fifth Test between India and England at Edgbaston, Birmingham, the two were seen involved in an heated arguement.
On Day 3, Kohli seemed unhappy with Bairstow. The foemer Indian captain walked up to the England batter as the two got into an arguement. The two on-field umpires, Aleen Dar and Richard Kettleborough, had to step in and calm them down.

However, Virat Kohli kept ledging Bairstow from the slip cordon. He was head saying, “Shut up. Just stand and bat” while the Englishman faced skipper Jasprit Bumrah in the 33rd over.

On Day 2 of the Tes, Kohli sledged Bairstow using New Zealand pacer Tim Southee’s name. By the end of the 14th over in England’s innings, the India tar said, “Little bit faster than Southee, eh?”
The Indian were apparently not happy with Jonny Bairstow as he was wasting time towards the end of Day 2. He called for physios when Mohammed Shami’s delivery hit him on the glove with less than 30 minutes of play left.
Kohli and Bairstow were later spotted laughing together.

On Day 3, an early Lunch was taken due to rain. England, at 200/6, trailed India by 216 runs. Jonny Bairstow was unbeaten on 91 and Sam Billings at 7. Ben Stokes was dismissed for 25.
For India, captain Jasprit Bumrah picked three wickets as Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur had one each.
