‘We’re enemies of BJP’: PAGD chief Farooq Abdullah

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Monday, rejected allegations of being against the country and alleged that the BJP wants to divide Indians on the basis of religion, reported ANI.
Abdullah said, “We’re not nation’s enemies. We’re enemies of BJP. They want to isolate Hindus, Muslim, Sikhs & Christians from each other. We believe in India of Mahatma Gandhi – where everyone is equal.”
Talking about the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, he said, “We’re not a gang but alliance of parties. Those who call us a gang are the biggest dacoits, so they see everyone as a gang…”
He added, “We’ll fight election together but we can’t get one single election symbol so we’ll contest on our respective symbols with joint candidates.”
Earlier, Abdullah had asserted that Congress is part of the Gupkar Alliance. PTI quoted him saying, “Where have they separated? There should be no misconception. The Congress is part of the alliance and we are fighting the (DDC) elections together.”
Talking about exit polls predicting a big win for RJD led Mahagathbandhan in Bihar assembly elections, he said, “There is a difference between real polls and exit polls. When the real polls get over, we will talk.”
He told PTI, “We want more pilgrims to come to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and it is possible that our problems, as well as the problems of the pilgrims, will get resolved.”
