Aditya Thackeray is an Indian Politician who served as a Cabinet Minister of Higher Education, Tourism and Environment for the Maharashtra government. He is also an MLA from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

He is the son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, an Indian politician who served as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra and grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray. He is the President of Yuva Sena, a youth wing of Shiv Sena. He is senior Maharashtra Cabinet minister and was inducted as a cabinet minister in the state cabinet on December 30, 2019.

In October 2019, Aditya Thackeray contested the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election from the Worli constituency in Mumbai and subsequently emerged victorious.

With this, Aditya Thackeray became the first member of the Thackeray family to win an  election. On December 30, 2019, he became the Cabinet Minister for tourism, protocol and environment in the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.

Prior to getting officially elected, Thackeray played an instrumental role in few projects during the Devendra Fadnavis-led government, prominently being a ban on single-use plastics in Maharashtra, which was well received by residents of the state.
